Cranial Dental Series
This course series is designed for dental professionals to better understand the etiology and root causes of conditions and situations they see in their offices every day. You can have more confidence and clarity into how to solve the patients problems by better understanding how the problems developed, how other areas of the body are contributing, what tools are appropriate for the task, and how to integrate care and put it all together. Often times dental and orthodontic interventions are only addressing the end result of a larger problem, and lead to both the dentist/orthodontist and patient feeling frustrated and without a clear path forward. In this series we demystify the origins of these conditions and offer the dental professional the knowledge that leads to holistic and sustainable results.
Courses
Foundations
In this series we deep dive into the etiology of how common conditions develop. This includes malocclusion, bite problems, TMJ dysfunction, airway concerns, craniofacial pain, and more. This evidence based course will provide the practitioner with knowledge of root causes for common conditions, and advanced understanding of cranial growth, development, and function.
Patterns
The Patterns course series is all about function and holistically looking at the body. The mouth and face cannot be looked at in a vacuum, they are extremely influential in terms of their impact on other structures, but are also often compensating and impacted by others areas of the body. We will look deeply at commons ascending and descending patterns related to bite, TMJ, and airway. You will learn to not only spot these patterns, but also be equipped with the knowledge to address them.
Tools
There are hundreds of different appliances, philosophies, and camps within the dental and physical medicine professions. It can be overwhelming for a doctor to objectively determine what the various schools really offer, and where the strengths and weaknesses of those techniques and philosophies lie. It's even more difficult to determine who to work with in other professions, and how different ideas can commingle and integrate with one another. In this course we objectively look at various tools/appliances within the dental world and how they work from a physiological perspective, as well as looking at some of the different camps within physical medicine and objectively assessing what they can and cannot accomplish in regards to your work in the mouth.
Practice
In our final course series we delve into how to put all we have learned into practice. Now that we understanding how a certain condition developed, the physiology how it happened and what contributed, and how it's impacting the body and being impacted by other areas, we assess the tools at our disposal and work as a team to address the patients needs. This course is about teamwork and creating a coordinated and amazing patient experience.
